Music Experience

I experience music through just about everything. When I wake up, I turn on the radio or put on a CD. I can’t drive, or be in a car for that matter, without listening to music. I feel it makes me drive better. I listen to it while studying and doing homework. Actually, I’m listening to a very calming playlist now. On my down time, you can find me listening to music. It consumes my life. Without it I don’t really know how I could make it. I don’t think that anyone could really go without it. Especially now. At this time people are really into technology, the internet. With the internet, music is more readily available for this group of people. This is our culture now. More people are making music. It is not at all shocking to log on to youtube and find an aspiring artist making videos of themselves performing their art. They want to be discovered, and now is the best time. People are more aware of what is going on in the music industry. They want to get their voices heard. Music has always been considered a part of culture, but it seems like it is taking an even bigger part now. There are songs for many different issues going on in the world right now. Anyone can listen to certain songs and get an idea of what is taking place in the world. It is exciting to be part of such a big movement.

  1. I completely agree with you. This is the time to be a musician, the time to get heard because of the internet. I feel bad that thirty forty plus years ago they didnt have the ability to be heard, if the internet was back then we could have so much more music who knows the possibilities are endless. I also agree that music is pivotal for all people and that it has made its way into every facet of our lives. A pleasant addiction. Nice piece!

  2. icompletely agree that in this generation there are almost zero people that don't listen to music becasue of technology and how easily accessible it really is. I think being addicted to music is fine by the way.

  3. Our generation definitely has a different relationship than has ever been seen before. Not only does current technology allow for greater ease of access and higher quality listening, but we also have ways to manipulate music that have never been seen before. On the other hand, live music is becoming more and more of a commodity, something that concerns me a bit. Still, I guess we'll have to wait and see how things play out
